On 15 March 2012 GFSIS organized a regional seminar titled Unresolved Conflicts and External Factors for the representatives of the non-governmental organizations in Gori under the Georgian component of the Black Sea Buicbulding Network project (BSPN). The seminar featured presentations by the Black Sea Building Network experts, Ms. Julie Kharaishvili (IDP Women Association “Consent”), Mr. Giorgi Gvimradze (Strategic Research Center) and Mr. Vasil Chkoidze (European Integration Research Center), also Mr. Mikheil Mirziashvili, BSPN Senior Manager, Mr. Kakha Gogolashvili, BSPN Project Director and Ms. Rusudan Margishvili, BSPN Project Coordinator.

The seminar covered a diverse range of topics, including the social-economic situation in the villages adjacent to the administrative borderline, the ongoing developments in the North Caucasus and their potential implication on Georgia, prospects for international participation in the conflict resolution process in the region, etc. The presentations provoked a lot of interest and ignited lively discussions among the audience about the pressing issues.
